if there is anybody who hasnt got racing birds and would like to enter will send two extra birds so they can compete no poblem they will have to pay the entry fee and carriage but i will breed out of my best stock cheers ian

Yes mate, brings the site even closer........just got to try to all pull together now with the likes of this and the exchange to try and keep costs down (ie courier) and lets all try and get out and meet up where possible (loft visits etc)

Had a pm earlier from Kev d, who was pleased the oneloft had carried on, he wished everyone the very best of luck with this but unfortunately he wont be joining this year

ah right, i have also had a pm from a member who is interested in joining the "oneloft" but wasnt sure his ybs would be ready in time.........so he is interested in the 2 which have been offered by ian, i pm`ed him back so am waiting to hear from him.

its fantastic mate, when you consider we are still in 2010 and we are talking about Aug/Sept 2011

It will be a fantastic event and the fun we will have over the next 9 months, from weaning, to delivering, to first flights, to grouping, to training, then the 3 pre-races were your bird may top the federation and then the big one...........it will be great

There will of course be disappointments along the way, but i will report everything so everyone knows whats going on...........no doubt we will generate "site favourites" before each race and there will be surprises too.......

i think the responce is partly to do with your expertise in management and your own results speak for themselves........members are confidant you will get the best out of their entries.

are you entering the somerset race mark...?

just plan everything down to the finest details David, always have done. Had a great teacher in "Pops" and learnt a lot of hard lessons over the 20yrs we been racing


Yes, was well disappointed with this years attempt, no excuses as simply birds not the right ones, i know the final was a lottery but the winners made it and determined to do better) we will probably get a few club members together and have a go (plus anyone from site), even had a non-fancier friend the other day talking about this and he was buzzing to have a go.

you certainly did mark, when bill and ken came to my house he gave me some useful info, and a lovely janssen which sadly was killed by a cat.

Going to be good mark, have a guess who's birds maybe faviourites....

isnt looking like we will get the last 4 places mark, but suprised by the interest it has caused and the amount of members who have joined..........
