| a fancier in our fed would ring his youngbirds with two rings he would put last years and this years rings on so the latter part of old bird racing he would enter his youngbirds using the old ring details then when the youngbird racing started he would cut off the old ring and race them as youngbirds |

| these birds bred early are no better than those bred in jan ,feb or even later. these fanciers only do to get it out of the way, it does,nt matter to me when i breed them but i must admit it would be nice to get all my ybs in one go like some....i have found in the past when i have bred early that they become lazy later on when exercising probadly due to be more mature and wanting to pair up... but believe me they are no better |

but surely its better to get your younguns over earlier all together and then you can concentrate more on your old bird race team, also better to have all your younguns within a couple of weeks old of each other , you only get problems with different age youngsters |

how do you work that out when some people just breed one round then win all the time with youngbirds, geordie smith only breeds one round and he flies a great youngbird |
