Hi Stu,
RPRA are always more expensive in most things, probably due to the overheads, offices, fees etc etc

RPRA membership - £8 per member, NWHU £3.50 per member............as you say rings from NWHU 15ea, no charge for transfers only SAE

I know with the NWHU, there is only Terry who is secretary, admin, tranfers clerk etc etc etc basically he does it all

the birds which have already been paired to each other are usually ok alex, but new pairings do usually fight a bit.........all i do is when they are locked in the nestbox place half a brick in for the hen to get away from the cock if he`s a bit aggressive towards her.

i know ken gives then trial runs well before he pairs up.........each weekend he will put them togeather for a day or two then seperate again....he will do this each week up until he pairs up and when he does they already are settled with each other and he quickly has them on eggs,

Tell you another thing which you can use, chip shop style curry/peas pot fill it with concrete once set turn the pot upside down and this can be used also instead of a wooden block or brick plus it's warmer on the feet lol!
