| yes ian , but look at how many go in to partnership as well, you count them up in your club and you will get a surpise.if all these where single fanciers again how many would you have then...i,m not sure how many are in our club, maybe 14 i will have to check that |

| Yes Ian that is a strong club 24, mind 14 isnt too bad either, I have been flying against 4/6 members flying in the club so wanted more competition thats why I have switched. Although we all compete in the section, but the new club has a training transporter and what with all the falcon attaks My birds will be safer liberated with 600 birds training instead of single training. |

| i am a member of the south west england lerwick club which has 120 members but there is many basketing stations and in ours there is 11 but nothing to be won in the basketing station so we all chip in to buy prize cards for the first 3 birds per race |

| Can remember in the 80/90's when my own club Tipton & District HS had 100 members that was the limit the club would allow in a 3 quarter mile radius and almost every week anything from500 to 700 birds the record sent was in youngbirds just short of 900 birds
In the fed anything from 8,000 to 12,000 birds a week
I should know it was me who convoyed them |

| As you all know in 2009 12 members resigned from our club leaving just 5 members for 2010 season, but for 2011 season we now have 11 members so we are on our way back up, of the 6 new members we have none are from the original resignations but from flyers who have great results from their other clubs, so compitition will be stronger than ever for 2011, looking forward to it Ken |

I should know it was me who convoyed them for 100 members in a club not a lot of birds sent 700 - 900 we get that many every weeks with 24 members did you have a limit |

| yes but on average normal people sent maybe 12 birds, the bigs lads sent 30 or so still, its when others started to send more they just increased their numbers.. ask your self why they send so many. i think its because they are frightened of getting beat. i send so many because i have toomany as you know, plus to give a a bit of a chance...i like you would love a small team and i will when i find the birds to compete every week against these lot |

| if your in a parnership sending and keeping a large team you can share the cost but being on your own if you have deep pockets its no problem . keeping a large team is not for me i perfer to keep it small and choose my races as and when i like and not chase averages . |

| Yes Thats one of the things with larger clubs you get the birdage, Last year on a few of the later races I was the biggest sender with 18 ybs, but thats in the old club birdage for the race was 30ish, In my new club they can send 300 each week, I think the later races they were under 100 mind you. |

| The amount of pigeons being sent now compared to then must be 3 to 4 times greater
Ian how many youngsters you having this year about 100 youngsters which is a lot but it all comes down to mob flying and getting a pigeon in the first batch the more you send the more chance you have of getting one in that first batch |
