Ken nice one ken......i think its both, its no good having great birds if the fanciers management is rubbish, i think i would put it as 50% fancier and 50% birds. |

| David think about this one an average pigeon in a good fancires hand would he turn this pigeon into a good one , or if a good pigeon went into an average fancier hands would that bird make him/her into a good winning fancier so is it 50/50 Ken |

Ken ken, i would say the avarage pigeon in a good fanciers hands would reach its full potential but it would never make the pigeon any better than it could possibly be.....the good fancier couldnt make a pigeon what it isnt........ the good pigeon in an average fanciers hands would/could possibly still race well, but.....never achieve its full potential which it would have done had it been in the hands of a good fancier. plus ad ray says good birds in the hands of an average fancier may do reasonable for a season or two but will go down hill as the fancier doesnt have the skill or knowleage to breed correctly and manage them correctly. |

| ken, yes if the fancier is doing his job and the pigeons are doing their job and getting results they are working as a team, so therefor yes i would say its 50/50...... |

| going to have to throw my cap in the ring with this one, i would say:- 50% pigeon 20% fancier and without the following extra's you will always be firing at 70% of your capabililty? 10% feed 10% Health 10% motivation

| if someone hasnt the knowlage to bring out the best in a pigeon the birds full potential ,no matter how good will never be achieved.......anything is worthless in the hands of a fool. if you gave someone the fastest most expensive car in the world, what good would it be to them if they couldnt drive it.......? |

| also, it could work the other way round......you cant expect a brain surgen to work miricles with a desert spoon. so there you go, it has to be equal..... bird and man, a partnership. |
