Europa 350 today

Europa 350 olsd bird race today, bit of a disaster, no ones fault just turned out a bad day I think, so far from 211 birds 5 home, after 350 miles 12 hours gone. Mine hasnt come yet still money for grabs up to 10th, so fingers crossed.

i guess it was a good test today then mate your birds been doing well so hope it returns still time yet

hope your bird comes for you martyn, is there any website for the europa ? im sure i read they had a live feed to the loft for when the birds returned ? could be wrong tho`.

Yes there was a live feed, really good, the team at europa has done a great job, My bird will come Im sure. the website is www.europaoneloftrace.co.uk

i take it that the birds with the £ sign are not activated or for sale dose this then mean you are the owner of that bird should you buy it and any prizes won are yours
seems strange not activaiting a bird you enter i see paul smith has a few that are up for sale

just hope the birds did not encounter the heavey showers weve had today the drains
could not cope they were over flowing , nothing could cope with that , seems strange every year
they have a disaster not worth throwing your money away , jmo . cheers

weve just had them showers here kev ive a small brook next tomy house its normaly got 2 inch of water in it now its got about 4 foot what a flash storm that was
just hope them poor birds didnt hit that some where along the line

hi G , them showers are moving up from the SW the rain was flowing down the road
thats whats happened they have probably been batterd down by the rain and its also very cold only 14 degrees .

could be right then it came so fast here sun was out then bang 30 minutes of hail rain thunder no warning not a cloud for miles weard

dont know where the birds liberated from but down here on the south coast the winds were changing alot plus a few showers some heavy with hale for the time of year the weathers all over the place.

i remember the disaster the somerset oneloft had last year kev, do you remember the last race.....? hardly any birds home even after a week. it seems to me that most of the onelofts seem to get a disaster during the season. i think this is why i dont think i would enter them because once your birds gone your out of the excitement....

I must stick up for the europa team, last years classic race was amazing over 750 pigeons made it back from the final race after very strict training programe, they are brilliant lofts and are well looked after, the birds always in good condition.
Just remember we all have bad races they are no exception it happens, as you said the showers today were heavy and came from nowhere, so its just one of those things.
I must disagree you waste your money, its good fun and not too expensive, campared to what you can win, we spend more home racing with little prize money, Our club starts training youngsters each year with 650 birds, sometimes more, by the end of the season we send about 30 to the race, so the one loft boys keep the birds better than we do.

i do know the europa oneloft does have a good % for returns martyn, and by what ive read they are one of the good ones..........is there still time for your bird to win a prize ?

Hi DAVID, there ae 11 birds back now, they pay top 10, so Im not in the money, would like the bird home so I can have it back and breed next year, its a hermans ceusters and has been doing well so far, There will be a lot home tomoz I think if its a good day.

ah right martyn, which bird was it that won 4th in the europa for you a few weeks ago.....?

martyn, just been looking at the europa site, to say you only have one bird entered its coming pretty good and consistant for you, plus i see you have had a fourth in a hotspot race..........well done.

Yes david my 4th was a hermans ceusters, cant wait to start racing them myself this year,expecting good things, youe 2 are about a week off now so keep you posted.
