| I have some birds in the Europa Classic. Do any other members have birds in the race? if so can they tell me if the first hotspot is going ahead on Sunday 24th July. I cannot get a reply to my emails from Europa, maybe someone has had more luck than me, lol.

| yes you are right david, I have 5 entered under RUDDERFETT, and they are coming along nicely, as for the hotspot going ahead I think so as I havent heared different, The europa team has had a few problems I think and the info on the site has been sparce so we keep guessing, only tonight I emailed them myself to find out whats happening, I really think this might be its last year if they dont pull things together.? |

| Hi Rudderfett my birds are in the name Seaskaters, I notice your bird 05 has been performing exceptionally well. I have sent countless emails trying to get them to post a full list of what is in the loft.
Surely there must be a basketing list for the Hotspot if it goes ahead on Sunday, the weather forecast is great so it ought to. Without a basket list nobody knows how many birds they have or how many a really left.
It is such a shame as it should have been a great race this year, but I agree with you I believe the crap info or lack of any on the site is going to make people go elsewhere next year, me included. |

| Hi I will watch out for your birds, yes my number 5 is doing well but number 10 Is my pick, however if you go to the results of any training find your name and click on it all your birds come up in a list, if you click on the ring number it shows you what training its been to and its position, you can then see what you have left as it will not be in training if its lost...hope this helps, Im calling them tomorrow so will keep you posted. Rudderfett. |

| Hi Rudderfett, My birds ring nos are all messed up on the ste and I have 4 birds left but one is useless. It is missing from last training so I need a basket list to verify if it actually goes in the basket for Hotspot1.
If it doesnt as it is my no1 bird on the list it will automatically get replaced by another bird costing me only 200 pounds to activate all my birds. If it lines up for hotspot1 then it will cost me 300 pounds to activate all my birds. Many people are in the same or similar boat.
Without basketing lists there is no transparency so I hope that they produce one. I had birds in the 350 left from last years classic where my good bird fluffed her lines in the last race but still finished 47th Acebird, there never was a basketing list or a loft update list and my bird was missing before the first training??
The only good thing that is new is the webcam but I bet that is down I feel that the competitors who have gone to great expense to support the race have been badly let down this year and are now being kicked in the teeth by the lack of info. Anyway gripe over, lol good look for the race series I will look out for your results too. |

| Just a line to say that I just rang up Europa after seeing the basketing list that they have done and I for one am very happy about that and after speaking to Russell the guy in charge I feel a lot better about what is going on there.
There may even be live pictures of the arrivals via webcam , if not this time Russell says that he will bring in people to make it happen in hotspot 2 but he was hopefull it would happen tomorrow. |

| Yes I activated both my other birds as no 77 got promoted free of charge as my other bird 57 never returned from yesterdays training so I am well set I think, lol with 3 birds that can handle a facewind, time will tell. good luck for the race series, Kev. |

| I was quite pleased with the first hotspot, my 3 birds finished, 17th, 70th and 138th all within 2 mins of each other and 4 mins of the winner.
The main goal is the last race though and this is really only a traing event for that. All the same it showed me they are all healthy, at least at the moment. lol |

| Hi David , I have only just started getting my Roland Janssen family together here in Portugal so at that time of the year when the birds had to be in Cardiff I had none to send.
I wanted to support the race so I rang up Louella lofts and asked Mr Massarella if he would put 5 fast maturing middle distance pigeons into the race on my behalf, he said he had 5 Flor Engels ready that would fit the bill so I went ahead and had them sent there in early April.
I bought them via internet and phonecall , had them sent there vaccinated with no hassle for less than I could have done it myself from here in the Algarve, the 3 that survived should give me a bit of entertainment here while I prepare for our season starting in January 2012. Time will tell, Lol. |

| Hi Rudderfett, thanks but yours flew well too, 01, 05, 10 all right on the pace and 03 not far behind you must also be pleased with that. Nearly half the birds are very late.
As you know the big one is the one that matters, you were 2nd last year I travelled over to watch it . I saw the race your bird almost stole the race when the 1st bird to land on the board (Darligtons, hesitated and your birds charge at the traps triggered his in to action just pipping you) Kev.
