same here ian don't like blow homes either like the pigeons to work a little

no good blow homes ends up a trapping game anybodys race

Ian have lost a few races down to the trap

yes but they would be no point as you will still have to catch pigeon and swipe the ring across pad

mmmm,so they have to go through a trap then, i always liked trapping through open door....anyway the club im going to join dont allow ets so i should be ok....

no seriously though, some of them i talk to havnt got a clue what im on about when i mention things ive been told by you, don and ray etc....some dont even fly widowhood and havnt hardly heard of darkness. i know its each to their own and im not calling them for doing what they want but it gets to a piont surely where they need to try something different as what they have been doing for all these years has got them nothing...

Yes you have to make changes to fit with the modern time systems ect

i think when i eventually race again next season i wont be able to sleep for the first race...ill be that excited...

i remember when we raced before, we would phone up the club sec to see if they had been let go....is it still the same now?

yes david we phone up the combine for lib times but unfortunately it is a 0906 ,premium rate number cost about 80p a minute

more money.....every thing to do with pigeons is about money, nothings cheap......

yes david some weeks when weathers bad you have got to phone back sometimes 5 or 6 times costs you a fortune

When you look back in time this sport was for the working man which people enjoyed but now everything is money for this money for that it is jst getting past a joke now were has all the fun gone

youre right don, when i restarted last year i started buying pigeons, water drinkers basket all the nestboxes and all sorts of thing.....i then bought a loft and when i think of the money i have spent already its a shock, ive yet to buy a clock for next year and when it comes to fees and entrance money for the racing its going to be even more money...so like you say, its no longer a working mans hoby any more, you need a good job or failing that a partner to share the cost....

i know not all fanciers race for the money and they do it for the love of the sport, but sometimes we need a win to get a little bit back.......

When i myself start up again when i am racing i will be sending my pigeons with no pools and just flying for prize money as at the end of the season you have your corn bill sorted as if you fly in a club were the pools are small then what's the use

dont understand people sending pigeons and not pooling birds has people got no faith in there birds

i have never raced pigeons for money but saying that i do pool and its great when you do get them as you say it pays the corn bill or your next race bill, in our club the pools might be about 20 pound so it can help
