| lofthouse why only one bird was this all you had or did you single up your birds not to worry the late Ken hine give his birds 40mls as a first toss and did not worry if it took them 4 weeks just as long as they got home i think what you have done depends on the number of birds you have |

| i start at about 3 miles thats it,as i,ve said before on here distance makes no differance,do,nt get me wrong maybe one or 2 40 milers down the road wo,nt harm them, but i had a not to bad season with my ybs including having to jump them 114 miles but that was after plenty of SMALL trianing tosses |

| People say I'm ruthless, but to be honest mate, that's suicide, we start ours off at 5 miles, but maybe it would be one hell of a bird if it did return. |

| this season i started my ybs off at approx 2 miles away, this was mainly to teach them about being basketed and coming out of the basket in a group..........after about 5 of these i took them 5 miles and then to 10/12 miles, and then they went with the club trainer to 25 miles.........
this season i lost no birds from training and next season ill do the same method, 50 miles for just one bird is a big ask..........hope he comes home for you. |
