what vitamin supplements

hi what vitamins should i be giving two young birds about 8 weeks old.and how to administer them,cheers.

hi frankie, i just give multi vitamins to my ybs, during racing 3 times a week as it also has electrolytes and minerals etc in it...................during winter i would say once a week is ok and is disolved in the drinking water.............

also i give matrix all year round with added pink minerals during racing...

manuka honey gold is good stuff but quite exspensive

also marmite have a look at the ingredients

To be honest frankie,i do not really know if you should be giving them extra vitimins mate, seems strange propping birds up who should not need it,unless of course you can see problems?

ive heard it said vitamins do pigeons absolutely no good at all, they dont make the slightest bit of difference..........unless they are lacking in something.

Just surfing here . Watched a show the other night on TV etc to do with this subject for humans from the grand old US of A where it is a billion dollar business type of thing . Full of snake oil merchants was the final conclusion & most goodies on offer when tested didn't even have in them what was surposed to be there for the most part & were just made up with fillers, sadly. It also reminded me of the trouble Mclaughlin got into over there when he advised the use of Virkon S for the birds/pigeons by some do gooder      as it appears the vitamin area there is totally un regulated apparently & the goverenment doesn't become involved till some start falling of their perch  because of the money that comes back to them in the end.
