supplements during the moult

what do members use during the moult ?

i us conditioner with added hemp and a good moulting mix the best at hand which is versa laga and some g10 pelletts which have all the vits and added gem the pax and in the water pigeon tea and cider vinegar twice a week ...i know the birds may fatten a bit on small seeds and a heavy moulting mix but hey theirs plenty time for cutting back after the moult ......

I will still give um the same feed, but like you Darren will give um extra hemp and linseed with plenty of oils mixed in with it, like hemp oil, sunflower oil, linseed oil, wheatgerm oil or get a mixed of them all. This is just to ensure the quality of feathering and make the quills supple instead of brittle.

im still feeding what i normally feed my ybs on, 50/50 super diet as this is a lot of small seed, including linseed...........ive also been giving this mix to the old birds over the last couple of weeks.

Canary conditioning seed mixed 50/50 with Versele Laga All-in -one just put teaspoon per bird in pickpot or feed them in their boxes. They go for this before the corn. Couple peanuts now and again to keep them tame as I can't spend much time with them once the nights close in. Johnson's Tonic once a week, Cider Vinegar once a week. On last few flights now once their necks and heads are fully moulted in I'll post a few pics to show them with their new coats.

Our birds are getting their normal feed and they get Johnsons Tonic once a week and we are trying out Orego Stim a( natural product ) after hearing some good reports from the UK about it, They get this twice per week in the water.
