So to keep the blood in the stock shed what would you pair, bearing in mind they say the apple does not fall far from the tree

PostSubject: hi   Breeding (What) System - Page 2 EmptySat Apr 10, 2010 2:35 am

hi everyone as i m a new member in this forum i read all yur threads and i found it very interesting and i couldnt hold myself to write i m from pakistan and in pakistan we fly highflyiers in a baking scorching heat so i use to do breeding but now a days i m in australia for studying purposes
i personally did inbreeding and line breeding but i found line breeding the best when yu cross half sister half brother yu get very good results secondly, inbreeding is also not bad but yu must keep in yur mind that yu pair btother and sister of different clutches of the same pair yu will get a good result if yu pair brother and sister of the same cluthes the conclusion willbe an unbalanced bird, small height and bad feathers thanks[b][i]

Hi ch hassion i line breed but i will put certain pigeons together for in breeding, the reason for this is to keep the winning blood strong, as over years you can dilute the blood and inbreeding is the best way to keep it strong

If i wanted to keep the blood strong with in the loft then i would pair mother and son together and visa versa then them youngbirds would go into the stock loft and used as an out cross

But will say have known this type of pairing produce very good racing pigeons
