can anyone help ???

i am having trouble finding the time to train my birds,
i leave for work at 6.00 am in the morning and dont come home till 5.30 on a night,
before you now its getting dark,
i was going to take them to work with me but whats the point i only live 3 mile from work, my mrs has nothing to do with the birds because of her asthma so if i did get someone to take them in the week day i would have to leave the sputnic trap open, this i dont want to do in case a cat climbs in.
is anyone else in the same situation and has any solutions.

regards chris

chris there is a a trap you can buy which lets one bird in at a time it only holds the weight of a bird so if a cat were to stand on it it would drop and the cat would fall off the plate then returns to normal not sure if a hawk would go in as it has a bob wire so as birds can not fly back out george

as for your response david you are right ,but is the distance enough,
dont know how far to take them people have given me mixed views on the distance, people have told me that 50 - 60 mile is needed dont know if this is true ?

When I was working on the powerwashing, I used to set off training at 4am, misty mornings my birds were tossed and home before I even left for work, and in the evening a quick 20 miles last thing, this made them work home as the the light was fading.

Not really George, tried to mix and mingle, they all know I am new seeing as I paid my fees last year but didn't race,as the intention last year was to get some y,b s and keep em back for stock this year, now I have bred off them I thought it was the right time to seriously think about training them, got that one wrong didn't I,
