Do members still train widowhood cocks during racing season.a lot stop once racing starts but we still train ours.they will be going 45 miles once a week weather permitting. It only costs 3 pound a time so we are taking advantage of it.if we used our own transport it would cost us nearly a tenner for a 20 mile chuck..anyway who still trains ?

Differant strokes for differant folks Ray Smile Smile Costs me $15 for my weekly toss here for 60 odd miles etc & 5/6000 birds going in all directions is the norm there. 40 odd years ago I would have been up before dawn Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes & 60 odd  miles down the track waiting for the sun to come up as such with my mate just raring to put them all up. Now Wink Wink all that is just part of my history & now I take the easy way & just think of it as $15 well spent. cheers

I will be training from 30 miles, hens 2 times a week and cocks 2 times a week until the distance goes up. Weather permitting of course.
I've got a delivery job that I have to go 30 miles every day on the line of flight.
Perfect for me,

It can be Shippy Smile Smile depending on what one is carrying etc. Years ago here I used to do a similar thing, Sadly  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad one time a large container of spirits of salts spilled all over the back of my truck without me knowing & my birds did not really appreciate it at all at the time & were total rat sh*te  Rolling Eyes  Rolling Eyes for the rest of the season unfortunately. cheers
