A little info costs nothing mate. If it helps someone else, then it was worth the effort.

I have read many books and to be honest I have derived very little benefit from them. Everything I know is from experience, trial and error. I've made huge mistakes in the past, but this is only part of the learning curve.

I'm a stickler for logging everything. Did Dave Allenn get that from you Gary as in his book he writes everything down as he says |

Don, I think it's wise to keep a book, to write notes in, but the funny thing is when you write something you tend never to forget it But it's a good way of referencing things that occur that maybe will help you in the future.

I'll tell you one thing I have noticed David and it's only through making these notes I became aware of it. That is family traits inherited by the youngsters. You might have one cock that was an outstanding racer, which is now a breeder in the stock loft. But when he was racing, he would have certain behaviour especially when he was coming into form or the weeks prior to a race he won. His offspring seem to develop these same traits. These are just little things that seem unimportant. But experience tells us that they are important and sometimes this behaviour provided me with little signs for my nom pigeon selections..
