14 pairs laid first egg last night just hope this deep freeze dont penatrate them

only 1 pr laid egg 2nd egg due today, only lost 1 of 10 birds i was settling at loft was expecting more

Pleased u got 99% now settled Steve the last one could still return u did well with them, Good luck with ur breeding the champions are in the nest

hi ken, i thought you were pairing up on boxing day......has it only took 6 days for them to lay ? i thought it was 10 ?

have known them to lay earlier than ten days

yes maybe ian, but i didnt think it was as quick as 6 days....unless it is 10 days when eggs are taken away from them and they lay again.....

hi mate , these conversations are from jan this year when some flyers
pair up early to get there yb on the darkness system and to get the breeding out of the way before
racing starts in april . cheers kev

Howe is it that you have eggs now do you get your rings befor 2011 we dont get ours til about the 6th of jan if they are laid now the youngbirds will not be born in 2011 so I would say you will be racing them as yearlings not young birds, 2011 dont start till jan

Are you boys serious? or is this a wind up? surely no ones got eggs..If you have then tell me what is the reason please as Im not sure why.

I know this is last year...But some lads do start early, using Saudi Arabia rings on their birds....

Alex years ago a lot of fanciers used belguim rings on there birds as you were able to get there rings on the 1st of Jan and here in this country we don't get our rings till 10th of Jan

But now think the RPRA made a rule that if you have a belguim ring on your young bird you must have a british ring on also so when you look the pigeon will have have 2 rings on one from each country

But correct me if i am wrong

I'm not too sure mate, I know the KSA rings are allowed on birds in this country, the plastic ones cant, because they cant be used in this country.
