| Mind you at least there screening a part about the sport and another view from what the fancier and his pigeons have to cope with that to me is a step in the right direction |

Great news-BBC Countryfile will be featuring pigeon racing as part of a wider feature on birds of pray. The episode is due to be aired on 1st July. This week the programme's film crew will be visiting father and son William and Brian Massey in Scotland to hear about their raptor problems and understand why pigeon fanciers feel so frustrated by soaring raptor populations, This presents an excellent national media opportunity to both shine the media spotlight on pigeon racing and allow the voice and point of view of the fancier to be heard. |
