| We got our rings this morning, NWHU (Black with White writing), phew!!! pressure off now as the youngsters already in nest and 1st ones rung now. |

| lol, NWHU always post out on the 2nd (think you could collect on 2nd if required) Yeah timed well (lucky really), just hope the parents keep them nice and warm cos its bitter down here, i have never known it so cold.......and with 30 babies in pans now risky!! |

was going to pair the last week in december ray, but my backs been bad for a few weeks now so not been able to get them sorted out....but as it happens im glad i didnt pair up now as it is very cold so im happy to wait a couple of weeks to see if it gets any milder.... |

| david it makes no differance what so ever pairing a bit later in my eyes,can someone tell me what benefit it is pairing so early |

| well i paired up early as i had to split box then do one pair at a time and now ive got to let all out in section on tuesday see wat happens so that why i was early |

| thats right it gets it out of the way so i can concentrate on my widowhood team once they have brought a youngen up then its all go |

| no thats the only reason ,mind you if youve got early yougens you can settle them easier when theres not so many got them as if you pair later then theres around 1000 youngbirds flying around |

so are all yours paired up now phil ? are they settled to a box yet or is that why your letting them loose tosee what happens ? |

| yea david im all done there was only 2 pairs that was nt paired right the hen was going in every other box but her own so i locked them up againg for a day and letting them out of the locked up box ... i had one pair all done then the hen was with other cock bird not the one i paird upto ... hope there all done right now |

| thats what you have to do phil, lock them in and let one or two pair out at a time till they get used to their own box......its time consuming i know but it has to be done. sometimes ive got sick of tryingand just let them pick their own mate and box in the end..... |

| ye im thinking that one with the 2 pairs just let them get on with it there self all rest r paired up so there only the 2 pairs and one pair seemed to be paired just about she was looking at the box but wouldnt go into it ... |

| 9 out of 10 prs stock paired up, 1 nest with 2 eggs, 1 pr when locked up spin for each other, when i let them out both on different perches, put them in nest box twice, doing it again today |
