I'm surprised the name of Arthur Wilkinson has not cropped up here.

Here's a testament to his strain still doing well over the distance.

Is that a recent article. Gaz? You're a mine of info. I seem to recall something about the Toft Cock, I could be wrong it was a long time ago.

I had a son of D'artagnan. Strangely, D'artagnan was not one of the Musketeers.
The three musketeers were Porthos, Athos, Aramus.

I think they are down the Crayone De45 side of things. Porthos left one hell of a legacy. Hope they flying well for you B'

thanks for that mate , yeah they still do a turn the thing is we bought these in early 90s from ron bowen entire clearence sale and a guy called wainright who was scoring well with them at the time,
they bred some class pigeons down the line, our birds are probley a million miles away from the originals we bought back then, as our policy is to pair best to best

A.K.Tonks that is Arnie Tonks of wednesbury he is a top fancier a very good eyesign man also
Arnie races with his wife sylvia and son Neil

He had the busschaerts and his main ones came from a person called Harry Pessell of Coseley here in the midlands

Arnie races Marc deCock family now but i think he still has the busshaerts

Do you think Arnie Tonk would be in the phone directory if I just used wednesbury. I don't know if that's a village or a shire to be honest. English geography is puzzling. Have to say this little tet a tet is quite informative. I'm beginning to think there's a little piece of Busschaert in al of us Laughing Laughing

Do you want me to obtain Arnie and Barry's number for you ???????????????

Yep that's him mate Toft Hill.
Yes mate it's recent article, Tom Jackson has done extremely well with them over the years and a few others round and about.
There is another guy in Preston who has all the old Busschaert lines all bred from the old stuff. He too has done well over the years.
I'll see if I can find a link for him.
The North East has always been a hot bed for these birds.
