I must admit I have never held an ets ring so I dont know the wieght, and life rings are light also, but I do believe in the drag factor maybe a factor, and upset the natural areodynamics of the bird. ?

| I think the ETS ring does weigh a little bit more. But not enough to hamper the bird. The draw back of ETS is when the ring comes off or is taken off by others. JMO

in my opinion the ets ring will not make any difference to the birds performance if it did then your so called topfliers would not be using this system

think as your bird as a aeroplane leave the landing gear out and it will drag put the landing gear in and it wont same as a bird it dont fly with the landing gear out so the chip will be tucked away

i dont think the new combi ring will really hamper the birds flying, but think it could damage the eggs when sitting...........plus a fancier i know sent some rings back because they were cracked, what if water gets into the ring and spoils the numbers which are on paper.....? and also rpra say if lugs are filed down the ring is not valid, so it a lug breaks off is the ring also invalid ? as the rings are just being used here no-one knows how they will perform/last.....?
