my oppinion is that we pay out far too much money, for birds and lofts ext, and at the end of the day it is only to please our eyes the pigeons dont give a toss, as long as they are happy?, what do you think.cheers

going to build a new y/b loft 20 foot x 9 foot

just brought 600 roof tiles off ebay for 8.50 so thats a start got plenty of time to

get rest of the stuff but that is a massive saving

and i aggree edgie the cost is rediculus these days

some sell birds on the back of ten wins but when you know who they are and what and how many they beat you learn to stay clear but them that dont know which is more than do get sucked in

look at results on pigeonchat and bhw most dont say how many members or birds

that's the way forward mate and that's how I build my lofts, just hang fire until you can get the right stuff at the right price. the hut ive just put is only 12 x 6 but its still costing under £150 and for me that's plenty

John I'm saving up for a new loft I'm doing a loft 12' by 6' with 3 sections hens cocks and young birds. How did you do it so cheap, did you get the materials and build it yourself.

Agree mate , but you will always get chancers in every walk of life and it`s inexperienced people like myself who have to be the most careful ,
there are plenty of genuine people out there it`s just the Ass holes you got to try and avoid ,  personally i would never pay some of the prices i have seen for a pigeon , couldn`t afford it to be honest Smile , but woud buy at the right price for a kit of YBs.

what was the reason you put the pair you paid 500 pound for in the bin mick as y/b racing is only about 4 weeks old so any you bred from them havent had much of a chance yet or is there another reason you binned them

the way it reads you got rid of 20 stock birds 1 pair you paid 500 for last year
how long you had the other 18 before you decided to get rid have any bred anything how long you had the other 18 birds before deciding on there fate

True what you say edgie Smile Smile  Thou !!!!!!!!! I'm a great believer in that we have a responsibility to our neighbours etc, to keep our lofts in a presentable fashion & in a tidy yard. Many !!!!!!!!!!! I think Smile Smile would have seen the opposite to what my views are Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Wink Wink . cheers
