| sick of birds making mess in pickstone pots so made these (awhile back) you can get 4 pickstone pots in each stand 2 either side i did also notice water not frozen as often while stood on these this winter |

| Or you could add grit when feeing the birds just to ensure that at some stage they are getting grit |

| Yes that does look good. I could do with something like that, only thing is stock loft floor is covered in bedding so it would fill up. |

| martyn, looks like steve has bedding down in his loft..........wonder if it does i have the laysoft horse bedding which is wood chippings and once they are down they dont blow around at all, altho sometimes bits stick to the birds feet and they carry it into the nestboxes... |

| I wil have to look for that david, I use shavings and auboise hemp bedding it all blows about and collects in the corners, something heavier would be better. |

| i use easy bed/laysoft on floor i dont have a problem with either of these unlike shaviings which blow everywhere |

| martyn, this laysoft bedding i got from crowthers in wakefirld is great stuff, i have used straw for the last couple of years in stock shed and it was horrible compared to this horse bedding........its bits of wood chippings and when its down it just stays there and doesnt blow around at all, all i do is pick a few piles of droppings out each day and thats it........only £6 a big bag as well. |
