| Hi all, hopefully you can help out here.
Last night I found a pigeon in my back garden, it was so tame it hopped onto my hand (luckily before my rhodesian ridgeback found it!).
I did some googling with the ring number and it's a belgian bird. I registered it found on the KBDB website so got e-mailed the owners details (I think he got e-mailed my details at the same time). I've tried to phone and e-mail but no response as yet.
Spookily enough, I actually built a doo cote last month with the intention of getting a few in the future, so it's quite happy in there with food an water at the moment.
If the owner doesn't get in touch I plan to keep it. What I'm wondering is how a belgian bird ended up near Buckie (AB56 4)??
The other thing is, if he stays here, is there anyone near by Buckie that would sell me a friend for it?

| Hi Sean
I never thought of that scenario. It's a pink 2013 ring with BELG 6135572.
Was bred by a Walter Janssen, Patriottenstraat, Turnhout.
Thanks, Jamie |

| Just found the owner. I checked the birds wings and got a mobile number stamp.
The guy's from Turriff and says he'll come in by tomorrow. It's been lost for a couple of weeks.
thanks Stan |
