By all accounts you need some tough birds for the S.S.O.L race and that's something we do have down here in wales, I think I will send all hens as that's what seems to come well for me.

Martyn your right in what you say you need tough birds it is the hardest route east to west and their is some hardships with it but what I can say with Terry you wont get no harder worker for the birds they are well looked after and Iv been in it for about six years and only once have he had a disaster that was in the early days he was new to it and every body makes a mistake I think now he has learnt a lot from it and this year if he can get 1000 entries he will pay £50,000 to the first bird its worth a go you got to be in it to win it

I think you will enjoy it Martyn you will have three or four months to watch what your/the birds are doing it gives a lot of interest it can even tell you what your birds can do against others you will get some bad results and birds lost with hawks and whot els happens to them but all that is in the lap of the gods when they are out you cant protect them but I am shore you will enjoy it and good luck to you and I hope you do well, well done for trying
