No no never !!!!!! in my view, a recipy for disaster I suspect. Fungas sap & mould come to mind etc. Dry sand to start of the deep litter or just let it accumulate is the way I started mine off & it now it is about 2/3 inches of what I would term fine granules. ***** |

| best way to start a deep litter system up is a bucket of sand to bucket of sawdust mix it together then rake it level in over loft floor best way I fink . get some kiln dried sand better lol and go your builders yard and get a bag full of sawdust from under there cutting machine . they will give it you lol well do here terry . all the best with it m8 . |

| Don't take this personally as Im not sure if your a new starter and a novice, but that's the stupidest pigeon question I have ever heard.
What the hell is wrong with you going out and buying some sawdust, shavings or some other type of bedding instead of getting stuff off the side of the road that dogs are pissing on? A tip treat your pigeons as if they are your kids, If you wouldn't sleep on the floor yourself and eat from the feeders and drink from their drinkers then you are going wrong. |
