Pigeons are natural flock fliers, so what ur doing with training in smaller batches is educating them to think for them selfs ie break when nearer home rather than staying with the flock

Best to train private but to stop the shock being on a transporter in there first race just give them a few tosses from the transporter before racing

But if your sprinting then 20 miles everyday some times twice a day is good as long as you give them plenty of food as they are still developing

another thing i have noticed with my young, uns is if they have a hard training toss like mine did in the rain ,which was a mistake by my friend,it took most of them hours some of them 4and a half, they seem better for it as i had a good season with them.it als happened when we trained in the fog once got 8 wins the following season with them ones as well so really what do you do train in bad weather or wait for the good days which to be honest i do with them being young.funny things pigeons Very Happy
