Even save your £2 or one eye cold tablet, I can tell you something works 100% every time, just put a drop of honey on and around the eye.

One eye cold is a bacterial infection and honey kills it stone dead, but not honey from a super market that is just sugar in a jar, must be locally made honey or produced by a hobby maker, super market honey is from abroad and is super heated or pasteurised in other words so all good enzimes and antibodies are killed.

for one eyed cold I now use optrex eye drops from the chemist which are used for bacteria/conjunctivitis in humans.......a bottle of this is around £2.50 and if put in the fridge will last years.

only ever had 1 bird suffer with it to be honest,it was a yb that I bought and after 2 weeks it had one eyed cold I used some saline solution on a swab for a few days and it went

think ive had it twice since I re started 5 - 6 years ago....

to be honest david half the time its a peck in the eye ...how would we know without going to the vets unless it progresses severely

Very scientific back then Mark true tho what you say etc. when the old match trick didn't work they went back to school to pinch the ink pots there & put them to better use in fixing up their canker problems.

Just to let You all know, I wetted a cotton budd dipped it in flour of sulphur and wiped it on the canker every night before I turned the lights out, the canker got smaller and smaller, the swelling went down on the birds face, and yesterday morning after about 4 days it was gone.

well done for sticking with it and sorting it out keep it up for a few days more now cankerin the youngster i take it

One For the memory bank     Boosey "Thank's" My trick is  long matches, cottom bud dipped in Betadine iodine & as we say just another road to Rome etc.
Now !!! be warned after 10 days of having one crap internet service here & seeing as they finally have just replaced my phone line etc today. The Tripe will now flow again, like a raging river in flood.
