| Going on what iv'e read & studied on the Janssen Base pigeons it was the Red pigeon that the Oldest bro brought back to the loft i believe 1919? carried the Gits blood ; & thats where the feather legs come from ; |

| I am a big fan of feather feet and have just introduced a few rom a top loft in the area, They are toey van reets 1 a yb he gave me has some and has just bred me a feather leg chequer, but the other is a pied and is covered, I will post a pic. |

| Oldstrain ;we still have the Gits ours go back to Donkern ; Queen & Ref C they were his older strain before he introduced the Soffles that produced the Feather legs thats around 1900 for memory ;Ours were imported in the 1890s from T W Thorugood from Sefton near Liverpool through his 26a etc which came from gits ;cheers |
