| As above guys, what sort do most of you use, I've seen the plastic v type, they look good, easy clean and can be moved around easily, or the type I used to use, box type, about 12" square, but fixed to a wall, any pros or cons with the plastic ones. |

| the plastic v perches r great if u don't want hens to pair, but for ybs imo they make flirty pigeons box perches r a lot better imo cause they back up in to them and keep them calmer .hope this helps |

I have to agree with rick, i am using v perches while splitting hens away from cocks, when paired up, i will put box perches in that section for young birds. |

| Thanks for the input guys, I think I'll go with the box perches, I do like them just try and fix some kind of bracket so I can screw to the wall |

May be worth considering box perches like Georges Lofty that are at a 45 degree angle etc, which then allows the droppings to fall to the rear & then to the floor. |

| In my young bird section I have box perches about 2 ft deep, but 1ft is blocked off, the blocker can be removed if I want to place a nest bowl in.
In my hen section I have sloping back perches to discourage them pairing up.
I did try v perches but couldn't stand them, as you approach them the bird is already looking to dive off the edge. If you have 1 or 2 nervy birds they all dive off.
I much prefer box perches, however if u can't scrape out regularly sloping back perches or v perches are a good option, as they are not standing in their own droppings. |
