| I have one left will be parted in a week or so, very pleased from a 2004 cock which is sire and grand sire of good pigeons
The widower and roundabout flyers would probably have not seen young in the nest since March |

just a few ybs in nest still but once they are weaned that's it for this year.... I guess I am a bit different to the rest of you guys that are racing. As you may know by now - I am starting again from scratch, having just come back into our sport after a long time away due to illness. I had to have an emergency Liver Transplant. I only have 4.5 pairs of breeding birds and will be breeding as long as I can - maybe up until the end of July. I need to build myself a new family of quality birds, so I can have a go at the Y/B program in 2017. QUESTION - Are any of you lovely people breeding for you top Stock Birds still? I understand that the racers will not have any more babies, but do you treat your stock birds differently - OR would you normally stop breeding from ALL your birds around this time of year? I am really looking forward to hearing all about your racing seasons - so keep posting. atb Phil (blueskylofts) |

| Everyone should not be breeding of racers especially sprint ones.distance ones might be different. The stock birds could still be breeding. I for one still have some more to come out of my stock but only selected one |

| I re started approx. 6 years ago, after a 20 year break.....I bought 6 pigeons and bred ybs off them, now after breeding and introducing other pigeons ive more than I want to have and need to cut numbers drastically. if I was in the position of starting again with 6 pigeons, I would breed very slowly, and only introduce very few birds....I would do this over a few year period and not rush to establish a team of birds, otherwise its easy to loose control and be over stocked if you are not racing every week. |

| I had a late start so I'm letting mine go again, just to try and get some ybs to race and, hopefully, have some for next years old bird racing |

| I think it is a bonus if you have prisoner birds that you have an aviary .....they can enjoy the sun, rain and fresh air, plus have a nice safe bath...... |
