| David, I've got the stock birds on country wide breed and wean, and when I wean the ybs I put them on gem young bird no maize, I'm thinking of adding maize as the racing season gets near, am I on the right road or am I way off the mark, all this feeding is pretty new to me and bloody confusing |

| I think some fanciers feed the ybs on a high protein mix when they wean the ybs lofty....just so they are getting protein while they are growing and developing, while they are young, I think they then lighten the mix and add maize to it for carbs, for ybs when they are exercising ive usually fed Gerry plus to get them exercising well......and the last season I raced ybs I then changed to a protein feed and carbs later in the week....each to their own though lofty, we hear of that many systems its just a matter of choosing one which suits you and your birds. |

| Shippy, yep that's the stuff
Knackered, the corn supplier is only a couple of miles away and the guy who owns it lives on the same estate as me and will deliver if I'm desperate, really handy that |

| Popping maize = popcorn. Supposed to be hard to digest but I have never had problems with it. |
