if nehu flyers have y/bs with gb rings on dont remove lugs, just heard nehu union said if lugs cut off they will not be recognised

yes steve, was in weeklys saying if lugs removed they might not be recognised by other unions etc.....for now im leaving the lugs on my gb rings even tho i dont like them because it only takes a birds to maybe do well racing and someone to complain the ring isnt altered correctly and the bird will be disqualified..

i was going to cut mine off glad i didnt, 16 either gone or going to south shields

i was going to take mine off but herd this the otherweek

with the confusion and complaints which have gone on since the rings were dispatched for use, i think its probably safer at the moment to leave them alone.........

you never know, they have changed their minds re removing lugs, they could just as easily change their minds again and say it cant be done......

somehow think this problem will only be this year as they will i think refer back to the old style hopefully

hopefully ian, rung some today and my own view is that they are more awkward to use and put on the leg........would have thought there would have been more thought gone into the combi before production.....

heard when birds are in basket they get the lugs caught on the basket or in the hesian

think of the problems they could cause as obs......cracked eggs maybe, lugs getting caught in nesting materials etc which would result in ybs thrown out of nest or worse maybe.....?

rpra already stated that old type rings back in for 2011, posted out on 29th december this year

did read in bhw they were looking into going back to normal type rings for next season, but amongs other things they were having to look at the costs !!!!! maybe they should have thought about this when they decided to change to lug type..............

It's all about making things to fit image for new technology rather than look at the way things fit the pigeon

i bet theres a few red faces with this years gb ring this is the first and last of this style of ring thank god

ken, would you say the chip adds much if any weight to the ring......?

David im not sure on that but it does make the ring look bulky
