11 flighted pigeon...?

there`s a pigeon for sale on elimar, says it is an 11 flighted extreme distance bird.....any thoughts anyone, would it be good blood line for distance flying...?

or wont it make any difference what so ever....?

I've always read that there's no such thing David and that its an abnormality and that 2 flights grow out of the same follicle, but as I say it's only what I've read.

Sounds about right.I have had them in the past not made any difference for me.

I think your right edgie, it says only in one wing, so it sounds like boosey will be right that its an abnormality with 2 growing out of one follicle....

I'm sure there's one on the tumley pigeon site, one of Dave Evans I think it's called Evans eleven, I will have a check, and was an eleven flighted bird, big winner to

True I would worry for some one, some what if they bought a pigeon on the basics that it had 11 flights etc & that it was going to be a champion race/stock bird for them because of the 11 flights.
