| Canker, a protozoa in the crop of pigeons, no imunity against it. Worms, a parasite inside pigeons, imunity is useless.Dirty water, how does the wild pigeons do it, how does the street pigeons do it?? Bacterial infection? They survive, they get away from predators, they breed, they rear healthy chicks What is their secret? |

| yes your right there niel but they dont race do they they would go down under the tress of racing they will have high canker and cocci and worm count but can survive with it |

| i thought there are more than one type of canker, and was under the impression it came out if the birds were under stress.....is this right. ? |

| Maybe the fact that they live stressless , is their key to survival. I'm sure there are more than one type of canker |

| yes, maybe so niel......they seem to have a stress free life dont they.... i think there is more than one type niel, maybe someone can tell us. |

| Ken your spot on mate everyday i see the ferel pigeons in the hard winter breding youngbird and yes the youngbirds look like pictures and they are in all weathers compared to our pigeons in warm lofts

| Ken don't know but do you know a fancier called "Bill Kitchen" his loft was 50% wire mess and can remember him saying how he would have to remove the snow from out of the boxes and from in the loft if there had been a show storm during the day or night
And he never had sick pigeons mate |
