What do members think of floor grills I have used them this season and can't make up my mind if I like them as i have always cleaned the floor each day and have to lift them each weekend to clean under them

yes that's what I thought mark, they are ok for stopping you walking in droppings or ok for the birds keeping clean etc, but eventually you have to clean under them, which means lifting them up.....I prefer scraped floors with whitener, but its easier to use horse bedding sometimes , like winter etc. or if your short on time...

I still use deep litter under my grilled section mark I find the grills help stop the hens pairing for a while but don't use them in any other sections ...the bedding we use is versa laga no 8 wood chips
