rat poisen watch out

a farmer friend of mine has had the rat man around to bait the farm for unwanted rodents , unfortunately he must have spilled some on the farm yard , a couple of my friends pigeons have eaten some , they are now passing blood through the skin as if sweating , he asked me if I thought they would live , I told him to put them down as the rat poisen contains an anti coagulant and they would probably die a slow death ?

probably will edgie, I would imagine even a small amount would effect a pigeon and kill them...

vitamin k and charcoal would be the only hope but if they are doing that its too late i would think

yep, vitamin k is the antidote for warfarin/anticoagulant .....but like Darren says, sounds too far gone now.

To far gone best thing is to put them to sleep than die a slow death

Yep, cull them quick I would, once it's in their system they're done for, usually quick acting is rat poison
