going to be doing a talk at alfies school for his classmates next week going to take a pair of squabs and a few tame hens and the bruiser will take a clock too and do a release in the playground ,never know it may produce a fancier for the future

Well done daz, the little ones will love the release, and like you say perhaps a fancier of the future in there, would be nice if they asked you back in the future as well, keep up the good work buddy

our school actually had a loft in its grounds I think its educational for the kids I really do well certain aspects of it anyway ....Alfie took his soft toy pigeon to the school yesterday and the teacher noticed his pigeon badge on his school bag and asked him about his birds in the garden and that got the ball rolling ,then the teachers asked if I would do a talk for 30 mins next week ,I said 30 mins don't think I have spoken for 30 mins in years

Alfie is going to be the top banana in school for weeks after his old man has been to give a talk

Well done Darren on taking the time to do this for the youngsters they will love it and to Alfie on getting his badge noticed I'm sure the talk will last longer than 30 minuets once you get started best of luck

Same, same . Well done to Alfie's teacher also  for thinking outside of the square as such. I suspect, the little     will feel like a King there on the big day.

The thing is now kids cannot get home quick enough to get on their x boxes or whatever. .when I was young we looked for things to do and then we came across pigeons and we never looked back ..loved them then .love them even more now even if it's a lot more stressful lol

True !!! the younger generation today etc much prefer a work out using their fingers sadly & a wee bit of pigeon sh*te has no appeal unfortunately at all to them or their parents.

yes sad to say but you are right, there seems to be very few younger fanciers around.......we had one of our old original members leave us the other week, 78 I think he was, but no one to take his place from the younger generation.....I would be surprised if our club was still going in 5 to 10 years time.
