Worms...how do they get them ?

how do pigeons get worms ?  ive just recently wormed mine and seen a few worms on the floor......these pigeons don't fly out so how do they get them...?

any thoughts anyone...?

Maybe they just bite their nails Hal . For me a few worms, I wouldn't be all that bothered as such. My mate ???? "local Vet" would tell you to come & see me & I will give you a magic potion, at a price to fix all. But the brick man here (3000 bird unit) would say worry about other things of more importance   as he throws builders lime on the floor of his race loft everyday .  

generally picking around in deep litter or in the race basket ...could be picked up off the garden ,gutters etc...

100 ways/means they may pick up worms O/S . For me thou to blindly treat as such is crazy type stuff especially when I know top flyers whose birds roam the garden/roofs as such & they dont treat for worms etc.

Sorry guys - Are you all missing the point - that is :- 'as far as I understand' -

David's birds do NOT go out of the loft!

So not chance of picking worms up from the - Garden, crate, gutter, picking up crazy stuff or anything or anywhere else.

True If one has/appears to have a worm issue etc. Buy a microscope I say, may do your head in  before you come to grips with it as such but well worth the cost/effort & in the long run you will finish in front I suspect, thou your local Vet type may not be all that happy.
