Mob fliers.

Love them as do clubs. They put in the cash. People complain about the drag. No matter how many birds are in a race, the numbers will not affect a highly motivated bird, old or young from sticking to the course home. JMO.

Good & bad aspects from my perspective Hal with the mob flyer issue etc. For me, & I speak as if a local issue the money men "chook farmer" types "on average" think every one should be spending the money they spend to race etc & the little type flyers are walking away from the sport here in droves unfortunately with the sport sadly in general being the big loser in the end.

It makes a big difference mob flying in a club where all members are within a mile of each other and the big number fliers are good pigeon men to start with.
Not so bad over 300 mile but under...numbers is a big advantage.
Yes i know they can still be beat but the odds are in there favour.

A fair appraisal I would suggest FW . For years our sport was built around the working man type. These days for many I'm  it has turned more into the horse racing saga with the crazy money certain people spend now to just win a race worth peanuts etc from my perspective. Sad unfortunately, for the future the way I look at things .

send as many as you want for me...I agree with hals tilt on it I am quite happy to see big teams of ybs on basket night and compete with them the health factor is usually missing

Maybe so I jus wonder thou how you would feel Boosey if you had a chook farmer type "6/800birds" sitting right on your back fence as such there with your little team. I suspect/suggest   the enjoyment factor could disappear rather quickly etc    .

There 2 types of mob flyer 1 who hardly ever does anything so is everyones friend....
The other who would be top flier in most other clubs with half his send but wants to sell there the ones hard to beat regular...if you have 10 good birds he will have 20 or 30 just as good...fact

Totally agree, if you have a 100 away and not good enough you will still not win..I am a mob flyer but that's because I love trying other birds every single year and to hopefully get better ones to beat the ones I already have...at the end of the day it's up to you how you fly and how many

Big race in Florida last weekend. 20 mile front North to South. 300 miles or so. First 20 birds, race decided by split seconds. every loft on the 20 mile front had a bird.

2 mob flyers talking in a strange tongue etc I would like to see that .

I talk to my self, and the pigeons as I`m going round feeding.......sure the neighbours must think I`m a bit strange

also dressed like a tramp in my "pigeon outfit"
