its always good to know what these natural products do for our birds as so many fanciers use them who dont know why, as they have either read it in a book or been told to use it off other fanciers.

been reading about it today, fanciers pigeons wernt flying ver long during exercise....so he gave less corn and substituted the difference with linseed and they flew alot longer round home with a lot more zip(as he says) he did this for 2-3 days and they flew great, then he put them back on full corn without the linseed and they went back to hardly flying again.... dont know how much is true but ive heard before linseed is good but sometimes puts wieght on them...?

yes true ian, mine are flying for about 45- 60 mins once a day so as im not racing them this year thats ok for me...but ill maybe experriment to see what happens so i can do it next year if it works... but then again, do they have to fly round home for hours to win races ? whos to say birds that fly for 30 mins wont win a race ?

Linseed is good for feathers during the moulting period as this seed is an oily seed which can help put a bit of silk to there feathers

That is it David, no matter how long they exercise it is all about keeping and holding them in form. Sometimes a decline in their execise also indicate form.

always best to know your own birds so you can see any small difference in them.....like you say be it flying for a long time or a short time, or even their behavour in and around the loft.

spoke too soon, been giving ybs golden boost for last few days.....normally they go off ranging for between 40 mins and one hour. today they didnt go ranging at all and only flew round home for about 25 mins......im putting it down to the g/boost, it cant be anything else, its too much of a coicidence so im back to normal corn/feed and ill see if it makes any difference in a couple of days....
