| maybe just me but I notice there's not a lot of maize in a some of the branded mixes. I see plenty variety of small stuff but the birds go straight for the maize, they know what they need. I think the science advertised behind these branded mixes is just an advertising gimmick in some cases but they do look good quality can't argue with that. Tempted to go buy a bag of cribs maize and add some towards end of each week once they get going. They still dive in on the black maize so maybe see if that's available, no doubt more £££ though..... |

I looked as the VL mixes darren and the prices are top end, the pellets in there also put me off, not sure if they're any better than chicken pelletts ? I know what you mean by having a small team, can always give them the best |

add some maples sunday -tuesday, but that's jmo. Another good mix for youngsters is Gerry Plus its also a light mix and you can race on it upto 120 max miles any extra just add small amount off maize Popcorn maize not one for me as it takes to much energy for them to digest it as its to hard compared to normal maize JMO |
