Weather today

really pleased David to have a dry loft with no plastic nothing worse than seeing damp places

very true george, i remember the times ive had a leak, its horrible, thankfully this new loft ive had up for 2 years has never leaked, its a pitched roof so seems to run away easily, ive some guttering and down pipe to fix on when i get time .

got gutting on both flights with down pipe

thunder ,lighting very heavy rain just lost tv no signal

heavy rain here, waiting for it to ease off to take dog out .......

not safe in this weather

i get muffled up, only go round the block ......she might not go ifi ts coming down heavy ........

heavy rain during the night here, stopped for now but looks like we are in for more ........at least the grass and plants will get a drink

Need a real good downpour to do any good for the plants etc;

ive been watering mine misty ....... , raining now, new grass seed has shot up, got the petrol mower on it last week, didnt drag it all up..

Just got back taking Misty for his walk/run.

Peed  it down with the odd rumble of thunder which Misty hates.and I am not too keen on.

Son spent five days cutting the  fir trees I put in 000000 years ago and generally tiding the front garden up.

Thought they would just be about 6 ft at the most when I put them in just kept putting off until they were nearly as high as the house.

The house was originally an Airy Council house, which I took when moving to Scarborough 60 odd years ago to give me time to look around for housing.

The right to buy came about on top of which I was offered a grant to.have it completely rebuilt by removing the then cladding and brick replacement

Had resigned from Whimpies and decided to find empoyment in Scarborugh.

At the time  the offer was too good to turn down and I bought it and had it rebuilt using the grant.

It is opposite a School and in a location within thrpwing distance of  Scarborough hospital.

Never regreted it, no high morgage and only the best of neighbours.

Back garden although only appears a reasonable size has a 20ft pond, one silver birch, now 30ft, one apple tree now ladened with  apples, two pear trees both with plenty of fruit on and one plum tree with no fruit as far as  know because I cannot get to it, not to mention  a beech tree  that  is higher than the house which we inherited not to mention the pigeon loft 26ft. .

So of you have any spare time?

Lovely day down here just had one of those mental type moment's thou I'm   been out splitting wood because my lovely Joyce etc flatly refuses to do as I demand here .

same here, bright and sunny day here, went to buy a stone bench offmarket place this morning, only a big pigeon loft in the garden, husband was a pigeon man........needless to say I was there an hour

started to make the 10ft x 6ft loft smaller so have 3ft corridor that will mean 7ft x 6ft for 10 hens in winter then loft for weaned off ybe

just stopped raining here, been heavy for the past hour or so .........


i use my corridor to put ybs in before they are collected by the courier, for a day or two, to stop them getting pecked by the old birds.

i use to do that as well lol

ive found the van reets especially aggressive , if a yb falls out of the nest box they will attack it, therefore they cannot be sold , so its safest to put them in the corridor for a couple of days.

janssens on the other hand would most likely feed the yb and not harm it .....

must be raining jus lost tv

Strange weather.

Warrn but cloudy with drizzle, peed it down during the night

Just been down to the Mere, there are hundreds of water and other birds there.

Nver ever seen them so lathargic, not even bothered when food thrown at them.
