Good Morning
The Rpra One Loft Birds were liberated from The Grand Final Race at Alnwick 235 miles at 07:40 into sunshine with a light SSW head wind moderate on route.
The birds cleared excellent online.

Hope they get a good race at least they are well looked after transport wise.

not a lot then eh george, also 1071 entries is a bit of a come down from 1,500.....i think fanciers have seen how the one lofts are going over the past couple of years and decided not to enter .

i think Jeremy has also seen the numbers going down thats why he has set up on his own and left the rpra .

he was looking for 1000 birds for this olr cost has gone up from£125 to £195 not a very good businessman he only had 400 not the thousand

i think there will be those fanciers who see it as a new one loft, and enter it thinking its going to be better .....

i remember when our forum had the syndicate, i always enjoyed it, we first started off with birds supplied by tumley lofts which did ok, nothing great but ok .

then darren started breeding our entries and thats when we did a lot better.....one year we were 3rd ace pigeon and decided to enter it into the yearling races, which was a big mistake, but thats easy said with hindsight .....maybe it could have made a decent amount in the auction ???

after that we never bothered and although i missed entering it was the right decision as the one loft went down hill drastically .

Cotswold 228 mls up at 7-00 the wind is cold here now no birds yet

rpra have 2 birds home heavy rain now birds would be coming this way

Cotswold not as far up 40 mins earlier  none home vel down to 816y/min chap has just told me birds did not look in good condition when basketing none yet down to below 800y/m they are looking at making it a 2 day race

RPRA done reasonably well, cotswold pathetic, none back, what a surpise after seeing the way they are treated.

Think a OL with just single entries and a maximum say 400 would be a better prospect, with the proviso that any lost off the loft early on could be replaced.

As things are PATHETIC.

That about sums it up George and the RPRA returns, although those first pigeons did better than thought there are only very few back, something wrong all round if those back can make reasonable time the conditions are fine not the conditions fault.

Needs a complete overhaul.

The cotswold situation appears unlawful regarding the treatment of animals etc;

But then apathy has ruined the sport over the past 45 years, moan and do nothing about it.

If I was at the cotswold loft it is not a seat I would take.

What a sad and pathetic end to a season everyone looked forward to.

Not a very good situation, the first thing they would do is look for water then have a rest and if any sense join the nearest bunch of townies.

In all fairness George thumbs up to the RPRA race etc on average. Birds there come home at a steady rate throughout the day it appears apparently, so all had a chance type thing I suggest. The Cotswold debacle Criminal affair I'm & how the welfare of the pigeons scenario fits into that tragic outcome, is totally beyond me here, sadly.

the person who runs Cotswold going to Spain on holiday when the training started was a joke
