| fanciers who enter these one lofts year after year know the score, end of the day all they're buying is a living, breathing lottery ticket and happy to do so. Each to their own but doesn't interest me, |

| To be fair the distances involved for young pigeons is a reasonable test, however, one would expect the majority to make it providing the weather was reasonable.
We know fanciers send bred from what they feel are the best, but all pairs breed their share of dummies.
What is less understandable is the high losses from initial very short training or from the loft top.
Always think of the fancier who specialises only in OL races, enters 10 and delighted if he has three in the final.
Fanciers must now be aware of all the pit falls and if happy good luck to them,
However, no excuse for the cotswold fiasco, the person responsible should be prosecuted, how some fancier did not have a ago at him at the final I know not.
Another long awaited season over and not a lot to cheer about.
Seems only yesterday we were looking forward to the first race.
Maybe someone can think of something to do for the Winter less depressing.
Regards. |

Have I missed something here George, are you saying a woman ran the OL ?. If so it explains a lot, maybe suffering women's problems. Yes the auctions give some entertainment but think they will be a lot of fanciers considering is it worth staying in the sport when you cannot guarantee even one race will take place. Way back explained could not get onto Elimar said was banned must have served my time can now, do enjoy their auctions, get some seemingly good pigeons involved. Also like Massarella auctions, one could get some up to date families at very reasonable prices many never get a bid yet fanciers buy rubbish from other sites. Regards. |

| Jeremy Davies · Good Evening The Rpra One Loft birds just kept on coming today with another 107 birds arriving today just proved what health and condition they were sent in to keep working for 36 hours and most definitely more will turn in tomorrow and the next few days etc from what was a true testing race. The phone did not stop ringing today and also messages sent regarding the race so thank you for that with your support. I will update the Ace Pigeon results tonight when the race closes but I and leave the clock running until next week. I will update on Sunday evening with more news on the race. Have a great weekend. Yes George PATHETIC. In particular when they offer no explanation and carry on the next year. Fanciers must be crazy. Possibility being that the healthiest pigeons going in are ruined by the ones from poor lofts, treatments for the ill by flock treatment etc; As well as possibility of having customers etc; Neve ever been any sporting activity without being taken advantage of. Regards. |

The plot thickens. Oh for the days when you ran to the butchers to time in, dropped rubber could cost the race as could a stumble. There was the odd bad un regarding fanciers but few and far between, then as with everything money touches, the drain pipe. Regards. |

The funny thing is George wild birds have to fly further in Winter than at any other time for their food, flocks of woodies fly miles to kale fields etc; That is why nature provides the best feather protection at that time just as the moult is complete. Nature says cold does not hamper flying ability. Regards. |
