Dark YBs still moulting

my dark ybs are still heavy in the moult, younger birds which wernt on it properly have almost finnished, is this normal.....?

yes it is david but they will sharp catch up

Mine are still moulting too

almost all throu now another week and that will be them most are throu now just a few straglers

mine look rough as anything, i thought they were nearly finished last week but now they are dropping to bits on the body tail and wings.

cant understand that david have you tried keeping the baths away from them now anything is worth ago

mine are on there last flight now and looking a picture .

some of my ybs have 3 flights to go..........

nothing to worry about david there all different just keep giving them
there normal rations with some linseed but don,t over feed them and add some oil
to there feed . your not letting your birds out are you .

hi kev, no im not letting them out for exercise.....and am feeding 2/3rds super diet and 1/3rd best all round vanrobys corn one oz per bird per day, fed once a day. also still giving them honey and cider vinegar three times a week too ???

the super diet has linseed in it.

What you will find when you stop raceing your birds will go into a mult quicker than birds that hase not done so much raceing you will find the birds will hold there mult most of the time while raceing and then fall apart when you stop

id say half of my yb team went the full distance on the dark, but some of the younger birds didnt altho they all came off at the same time..........now i find the younger birds have almost finished but the older darkness ybs which had the full system are very heavy in the moult now and look scruffy.

my ybs only had 2, 56 mile races and approx 16, 35 mile trainers.....

david dont worry mine are the same

It might work out well if next year they hold there mult that would you could fly them later on for the old hens race and things like that time will tell

as long as they have moulted before the racing starts it will be ok.............. altho im not pairing up till febuary so they have still plenty of time to finish it.

If they are falling to bits now in a fortnight they will look a picture you mark my words
