Colour breeding ?

im going to pair a blue cock to a red cheq hen this season coming, im wondering if its possible to get a mealy from them ....? ive read somewhere that a mealy can be bred from red/blue but im not sure

any thoughts anyone ?

i was told few years ago that if you put a black and a red together you would get mealies or barless mealies

have a try rene then youll know for future reference......... im putting the only red bird i have to a blue bar (the tame yb in the pic with old ring ...lol) going to see if they breed a mealy

Yes can say that a blue and a red paired together will breed you a mealy

If you want to know about colours in pigeons then get a book on show racing as they are big on colours in there pigeons
