first toss

had my first yb toss today from 5 miles a bit overcast and the 18 ybs were released in sixes and was suprised how quickly they came out the baskets and cleared ...must have been the garden training lol all 18 were home before me hopeful of another toss tomorrow 1 more from this point if they clear like that again .....

yes glad to finaly get them up the road its been a nitemare what with the weather and the mrs struggling with her back as i dont drive myself.thanks for the good wishes lads and the very best to you all for the coming season and lets hope we all have enough left at the end of it for a decent crew of yearlings next year

Great news Daz finers crossed mate loads more training in store

i would be happy with 12 tosses don 2 at 5 mile 4 at 12 mile and 5 or 6 at 25 mile it seems enough and they have made our yb programme alot easier this year...we start at 62 mile and only race out to 150 mile instead of 300 due to the poor ob season so members can re build,well thats the theory anyway atb

thanks baz shes ok at the moment but its a day to day thing she would still take the birds if she was in agony but i wont allow that, it could well be a trip to the train station with a disguised basket full of birds before long lol

took mine this morning on there 1st toss 9 miles all back but took them 40 mins to come
but thats the first one out of the way but they all come together so pleased with that . cheers all .

Mine went this morning, 12 miles, cloudy and very windy, 15 adrift at the moment.

sent 40 with the club birds island training tryin to teach em to break the pack lol them if alls well start across the water next week

2nd toss for mine today libbed at 7.30 lovely weather for a toss took them 10 miles and they came out the baskets like rockets circled once then headed towards home ,i get home and not a feather after just under an hour the birds arrived from the west in a west wind birds coming from the north and 2 cocks missing which were the last batch of 18 released ....still not back yet a lite red and a cheq........no prizes for guessing whats happened en route some of the ybs look a bit shaken up so will have to monitor things closely over the next few days for the dreaded yb sickness ,just when you think your doing well you get kicked in the teeth ,what a difference 24 hours makes

atb gaz.......my 2 young cocks are still away ,i just have that gut feeling they wont be back my ybs look pretty shaken to be honest so i think percy been into them .....they got 1/2 ounce depurative each tonite and hopefully no spewed corn in the morning as their are a few dodgey droppings i would say 2 birds in paticular but the rest look ok ....ffs pigeons eh lol

wouldnt worry about the droppings daz thats just a bit of shock if they been hit

had mine away twice today all singlr up no problemd thank f------k

just come in the house there are loads still going over in small kits
