Read something on this today That the nehu union and other unions have not made a decision on these lugs being cut off so they could be still void if u do this as other unions have their own set of rules Ken

Well I can tel you now something they havent thought of..if they make a rule about cutting them off and voiding the rings I dont think it will hold up, for one thing they decided to put them on not you members and therefore if a brid hits something like trees or a wire gettin away fron preditors and a lug gets hit off or even 2 who,s fault is that and will that ring then be void..if so its madness and irisponsable if you ask me..cause they are going to get damaged somewhere along the line???

iagree martyn, somewhere in the birds racing career the lugs could get broken off and as far as we know this means the ring is void and therefor the bird is worthless for racing......even if it is decided the lugs can be ground off i think it wll be madness because one man might do a perfect job at removing them but another might make a b***s of it so the ring is destroyed.........what sort of standard is there going to be for altering them ?
