| For a 10th position with young birds means nothing. Not worth the gas. Have won my share up to 600 miles with old birds and 400 with young. Taken boxes of trophies to the dump when they used to give them out. Dont get me wrong! Would love to win every race!! But old birds are my aim. Others only race young. But each to there own. What makes racing interesting. One young fellow out West bands young in November/December and races them as old birds. He does very well. But again, whatever is best for the person involved. |

No doubt about it, the BOP issue is an issue etc. But to put the blame on that as the main problem is loosing focus on other matters that from my perspective are causing more of an issue. For me, much is happening up in the atmosphere at times etc that the birds just cannot come to grips with sadly & it will turn out a real killer for our sport as more & more flyers become totally frustrated & just walk away from the sport sadly, no matter where one may live. |

| I think all the crops have been harvested now food in the wild must be scarce, cos I've had 3 pigeons back this week that I lost 2 and 3 weeks ago. 1 covered in red mud all over his legs and head and well flown, the other 2 look 100 %, no different to the day I sent them. All mine in the shed are falling apart in the moult, the ones that have been living rough look like show pigeons. |
