| I have been using Yakult red cap, in the water every other day, since i started breeding. I am going to use it with honey, on race day when birds have returned home. |

| Honey is very good for pigeons firstly because its a sugar source, and secondly locally produced honey and not super market honey has antibiotic qualities that's why it will never go bad, prevents bacteria growing, good to put directly on open wounds to stop infection.
Im not a fan of probiotics for lots of reasons, but a mate of mine bought Gems gemthrapax from blackpool and said he can see the difference in droppings, I know nothing about this product but he likes it. |

| May be of interest. Using 5 to 10% rabbit pellets in the mix. 16% protein, basically Alfalfa. Young in the nest, water freezes hour after changing it (except for stock loft) and all birds look excellent. Aviary is open for them. When there are a few pellets left I know I am overfeeding. Pre-biotics in the pellets. PS. My large Pleco likes them also! |

Is that true Martin, i was told about it from a guy in holland, He uses it as a pick me up after a race. Devo as you and the members know I don't have any pigeons at the moment but I can tell you this if you want to give your pigeons a lift after a race I have already posted this on the site some time back Place 2 tablespoons of clear Honey in a normal water fountain add a splash of fresh lemon juice or Jif Lemon and get some warm water not boiling (boiling water kills the good bacteria in the honey) let the water dissolve the honey then fill the water fountain with normal tap water and let that be the first drink you birds get on there return from a race. Remove the water the following day and give your birds fresh clean water and you watch your birds recover better |

The main thing is we are sharing information, some may not agree but thats up to them. We can only work together for the good of the sport. |

| Every week i get the BHW, and read you must have this in your loft, and with that you must buy this. To be honest, I think it does not help the sport, what started has a sport for the working class. You hear now not only on this forum but others too. I have saved up to buy this product, because i will need for the racing season. Please use the forum to your advantage, its good to share information. But please remember, we have members with many years of flying under their belt, but at the end of the day, they were a novice like ourselves. Dont feel left out get involved, no idea is a bad one. |

| we use g10s but would think these are half the price mind you g10s don't contain any medications I noticed the rabbit pellets contain a anti-coccidiosis medication atb with them |

i dont use rabbit or g10 pellets but do not think an anti cocci treatment will do any harm whilst birds are rearing |
